How it All Began

The Illi-Ana Mega Auction was started as a joint effort between Denotter Auctions ​in the Chicago, Illinois area and The Trusty Gavel in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.  Mike Trusty, owner of The Trusty Gavel and Michele Denotter, owner of Denotter Auctions decided to combine resources twice a year for a huge auction event, bringing our bidders some of the best antiques and collectibles in the midwest!

Michele is the owner of Denotter Auctions, an auction house in Arlington Heights, Illinois serving Chicago and the surrounding area.  She conducts auctions at least once a week, selling a large variety of items such as antiques, collectibles, tools, sports memorabilia, vintage pottery, collectible toys, coins, jewelry, and anything else that comes in by consignment. 

Michele began reselling antiques and vintage items online part time in 2012 and made it a full time job in 2016.  She attended Reppert Auction School to become an auctioneer in April of 2018. 
Michele has been attending auctions all of her life.  She began buying and selling antiques and vintage items in high school, but then took an extended break to complete a BS in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a BM in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

She is married to Darryl Suskin and they have 3 cats.

I'm an Indiana native born and raised. I started my life in Lizton, IN in 1972 and have moved several times to different areas. In 1979 I ended up on the west side of Indianapolis where I eventually attended Ben Davis High school in 1988 I moved to Huntsville, Al where I continued music and eventually joined an orchestra and played Carnegie hall in 1990.  I finished high school and then went college and studied graphic design and drafting. In 1995 I made my way back to Indiana and finally made my home in Greenfield where I currently reside . In 2018 I completed Repperts Auction School and now enjoy my new career in the auction business.

I am married to Shielena Trusty and have 4 kids; Michael Jr, Devon, Joseph, and Timothy
